Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. If you sign up with email and password, we collect the email address and a securely hashed credential. As you use Task4ce, we store the work data you create: organizations, projects, objectives, tasks, and time records (hours and punch-clock entries), along with which organization members they belong to.

How We Use Your Data

Your information is used solely to operate Task4ce — tracking work and time within the organizations you belong to, and showing that data to the other members of those organizations according to their membership. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data. It is never used for advertising or profiling.

Who Can See Your Data

Task4ce is organization-based. Work data you create inside an organization (projects, tasks, time records) is visible to that organization’s members. Invite links you generate allow anyone holding the link to join the organization until the link expires or is reset. Your data is never visible to members of other organizations.

Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

Task4ce’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access only basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) for the purpose of signing you in; we do not use this data for advertising; we do not allow humans to read it except as needed to provide or improve the Service or as required by law; and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. To operate the Service, we use the following infrastructure providers, which process data solely on our behalf:

• Supabase — our cloud database and authentication provider. Your account information and work data are stored in Supabase’s infrastructure. Their privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy.
• Vercel — our hosting provider, which serves the application and processes request traffic. Their privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Beyond these providers, we do not transfer or disclose your data to any other party, except as required by law or to protect the safety and security of our users and service.

Data Protection

• All traffic between your browser and the Service is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Data stored in our database is encrypted at rest (AES-256) by Supabase’s infrastructure.
• Every read and write is scoped server-side to your organization memberships — one organization’s data is never served to another’s members.
• Invite-link tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes; the links themselves cannot be recovered from our database.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Time records are the system of record for the organizations that use Task4ce, so work data you contributed to an organization may be retained by that organization even if you leave it. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us at contact@movesandmeasures.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days.

Local Storage

Task4ce uses your browser’s local storage for interface preferences (for example, your chosen view and sidebar state). Clearing your browser storage removes these immediately; no tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect, and post the updated policy at this URL with a new effective date. Your continued use of Task4ce after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
